Excellent presentation! Thank you Dr.Salama, very much. Learn a lot from you and Dental XP! it is a very good place to learn from DentalXP's master clinician! My question is are there any occlusal concern I should think about when I select case to do cantilever central with lateral implant? Does protrusive movement one of the must concern for this design? Or I just follow the bone volume to choose which tooth site to place my implant? Could you please talk about some experience as move canine mesial to bring bone back and then move canine distal back?

Implant treatment is one of the most exciting areas of dental therapy. Within the last 30 years, we have been able to develop and discover new techniques, instruments, software and equipment that have made this therapy more secure and predictable, such as the CBCT and the guided surgery, today with the guided systems we are able to have our implants “in the right” place considering the bone, the prosthesis, the biomechanics and the esthetic…this lecture will show you step by step how to reach awesome results in complex full arch cases in a secure and simple way even with immediate extraction and immediate implant placement.

The Central-Lateral Replacement Dilemma in Esthetic Implant Dentistry: Clinical Alternatives & Case Management
This presentation puts an emphasis on identifying the risk factors to successful esthetic outcomes specific to multiple adjacent tooth replacement within the Esthetic Zone. Specifically, the challenges to replacement of adjacent Maxillary Lateral and Central Incisors will be highlighted as well as developing appropriate solutions to overcoming them. A clear blueprint will be outlined which will incorporate digital and biomaterial technology synergistically with advanced surgical protocols to overcome esthetic challenges and predictably achieve successful results. In addition, specific guidelines for the utilization of new regenerative products will be outlined as well as new technologies and applications for future enhancement.

Current Concepts for the Preservation of the Post-Extraction Alveolar Ridge Premium Member Content

Current Concepts for the Preservation of the Post-Extraction Alveolar Ridge
Different techniques have been presented in literature in order to preserve the post-extraction site; including the use of barrier membranes, tri-dimensional matrix and bone fillers. An “open-healing” approach is nowadays commonly used, combining a proper management of soft tissues with biological integration of biomaterials. Once hard tissue has been successfully augmented, an adequate soft tissue thickness becomes mandatory in order to create healthy and stable peri-implant tissues. An innovative volume-stable collagen matrix provides the opportunity to treat soft tissue defects around implants as an alternative to connective tissue graft.

The Anatomical Foundation of Implant Surgery
Knowledge of Surgical Anatomy is a critical foundation for any clinician involved in implant dentistry. In order for dentists to perform safe and successful bone grafting, implant surgery as well as effectively manage complications, they must first be well versed in the fundamentals of Surgical Anatomy of the head region with emphasis on the Maxilla, Mandible, as well as the roof and floor of the mouth. This Dentalxp presentation, in part, describes the objectives of one component of a comprehensive hands-on surgical Anatomy course being offered live in partnership with Dentalxp. This section emphasizes the Surgical Anatomy of the Maxilla and Maxillary Sinus as an example of what is covered in one section of the course lectures.

Anterior Extraction & Implant Placement in a Severely Deficient Site
Extraction and implant placement is a functionally predictable therapeutic modality. Esthetic predictability, however, can sometimes prove elusive. This is especially true for the implant replacement of severely compromised anterior teeth with hard and soft tissue deficiencies within the esthetic zone.

Effectiveness of a Super-Pulsed CO2 Laser For Removal of Biofilm From Three Different Types of Implant Surfaces: An In Vitro Study

Effectiveness of a Super-Pulsed CO2 Laser For Removal of Biofilm From Three Different Types of Implant Surfaces: An In Vitro Study
As dental implants become a routine part of dental practice, so too will the prevalence of peri-implant diseases. Inherent to the treatment of peri-implant disease is the removal of microbial biofilms from the implant surface. Currently, there is no standardized protocol for application of any treatment modality directed at implant surface decontamination. In this in vitro study, we report on the effectiveness of a super-pulsed CO2 laser, delivering an average fluence of 6.3 to 113 J/cm2, to remove biofilm from three different types of implant surface topographies. Biofilms ranged in thickness from 5 to 15 μm. An average fluence of 19 J/cm2 was sufficient to achieve 100% ablation of the biofilm on hydrophilic sandblasted and acidetched surface specimens (SA). However, to achieve 100% ablation of biofilm on HA and highly crystalline, phosphate enriched titanium oxide (PTO) surfaced implants required an average fluence of 38 J/cm2.
