I have spent time with Dr. Turbyfill, and I totally agree with Dr. Goldstein in that Jack’s course is the best. Dr. Turbyfill’s technique allowed me to help denture patients who had lost hope with every feeling comfortable again in a predictable, much less frustrating and time consuming process. I can’t wait to hear the 2nd part and share with my team. Jack great to see you again, and way to go on not a single cuss word.

Management of the Full Arch Edentulous Patient: Team India Approach
The number of fully edentulous patients is on the rise due to higher life expectancy. Also, higher number of young patients are edentulous due to congenital disorders or advanced periodontal disease. Various treatment options are now available to the clinician for treating edentulous patients. However a lot of confusion exists amongst clinicians while choosing the right treatment approach and the correct prosthesis design for such patients. During this lecture, Team India will present a decision tree for treatment planning fully edentulous patients. This will help clinicians to opt for the most suitable prosthetic design for their patients. Critical factors such as age of patient, bone zones, cosmetic display and degree of resorption will be discussed. All-On-Four Implant Protocol- Fad or Phenomena
The All-on-Four protocol uses fewer implants, generally four implants that are placed at mechanical inclinations to maximize support in the fabrication of fixed implant supported prosthetics in fully edentulous patients. The use of angled implant placement allows the clinician to avoid encroachment of anatomic structures such as the sinus, nasal floor or mandibular canal that may make vertical placement difficult or impossible without significant grafting of deficient sites. When considering the future of implants, it appears justified to reconsider the old concepts in light of the availability of contemporary technologies, such as computer-aided design, softwares and programs design, virtual stress– strain testing, and 3D printing of titanium alloy. With the employment of these modern technologies, the concept of a “high-tech” subperiosteal implant has gradually emerged. Biological design of subperiosteal implant is mandatory for the success of the treatment, guidelines on architectural changes, topological optimization, and biofunctionalization will be explained. This new era of a “high-tech” customized 3D printed subperiosteal implant leads us to consider this technique s a valuable treatment option for atrophic jaws, avoiding more invasive procedures and giving the possibility of immediate loading, improving the patient’s quality of life.

The Socket-Shield Technique: First Histological, Clinical, and Volumetrical Observations after Separation of the Buccal Tooth Segment – A Pilot Study
The “socket-shield technique” has shown its potential in preserving buccal tissues. However, front teeth often have to be extracted due to vertical fractures in buccolingual direction. It has not yet been investigated if the socket-shield technique can only be used with intact roots or also works with a modified shield design referring to vertical fracture lines. The aim of this study was to assess histologically, clinically, and volumetrically the effect of separating the remaining buccal root segment in two pieces before immediate implant placement.
