Dean,
Excellent presentation

Dr. Dean Vafiadis - (2/21/2012 4:28 PM)

Dr Sam and Dr George, Yes i agree more time on each concept has to be discussed, I am giving a 20 minute presentation at the AO, hopefully you can make that. In addition the regular format for these concepts is really 3-4 hours. So again my intention was an introduction to these concepts and how it's been working for our patients, doctors, and students . I will try to put each of these concepts on a longer video, thanks for your comments, DR George Question 1 - Yes that is the correct sequence of fabricating the correct angle. Question 2- Yes scanned after being in the mouth for about 30 minutes sometimes I wait a week if there is something not just right. QUESTION 3 - Temp abutment and Temp crown is made on all restorations in the anterior region usually about 4 weeks waiting time before placing the final abutment. Final abutment gets placed, 60% of the time the cad/cam crown is made that day. sometimes the tissue is just a tad off.. then I wait to make the final Cad/cam crown. KEY to this = when the final cad/cam abutment is placed. IT IS NEVER REMOVED unless screw loosening.

Topics covered include comparison of occlusal management for teeth and implants. In addition, the importance of controlling the occlusal forces to protect the bone-implant interface from overload and the role of occlusion in peri-implant microbial infection.
