In addition, the surgical and restorative management and correction of esthetic failures will be discussed including the use of connective tissue allograft.

Fahran; best to keep inter-implant distances a minimum of 3 mm but we prefer to avoid these situations particularly in the Central-Lateral situations which we feel is most difficult. There we use, cantilevers or root submerge techniques. Kind regards Dr. Salama

DEAR DR GARBER ACCORDING TO YOUR PRESENTATION IMPLANTS SHOULD HAVE NARROW DAIMETER ABUTMENTS AND SHOULD BE PLACED IMMEDIATELY AFTER IMPLANT PLACEMENT BUT INTER IMPLANT DISTANCE SHOULD BE 2 OR 3 MM? DR FARHAN DURRANI

I have found that drifting of the root is not a concern if permanently cemented with a resin cement. However, a way to avoid the dilemma is to not connect the implant and tooth restorations but place a lateral wing on the tooth crown that sits on a cingulum rest on the implant restoration preventing it from migrating apically.

Joseph Gaudio, DDS The only question I have was the splinting of the central incisor implant with the lateral incisor natural tooth that was maintained after ortho extrusion. The 3 year post op looks great but I thought that sounding or the apical drifting of the root from the lateral incisor restoration was a concern??

Reverse Engineering and Optical Scan Technology in Implant Dentistry
In this clinical video, tooth replacement of maxillary canine is performed utilizing CBCT technology for pre-assessment of the osseous ridge form followed by incisionless transmucosal implant placement with a Ritter Implant. This allows us to Optically Scan with a 3 Shape unit the stable Soft tissue form, occlusion and implant position using a scan body on the Ritter Spiral Implant System prior to any surgical incision is initiated. This information is sent off to the lab for final abutment milling and provisionalization at 3 days. Surgical entry and bone regeneration utilizing PRGF is performed last to allow for tissue shaping with the provisional restoration.

In addition to surgical intervention is the creation of the specific emergence profile that is essential in the aesthetic zone. When considering the future of implants, it appears justified to reconsider the old concepts in light of the availability of contemporary technologies, such as computer-aided design, softwares and programs design, virtual stress– strain testing, and 3D printing of titanium alloy. With the employment of these modern technologies, the concept of a “high-tech” subperiosteal implant has gradually emerged. Biological design of subperiosteal implant is mandatory for the success of the treatment, guidelines on architectural changes, topological optimization, and biofunctionalization will be explained. Vertical Distance from the Crest of Bone to the Height of the Interproximal Papilla Between Adjacent Implants
As patient demand increases for more natural restorations in the esthetic zone, clinicians must have the highest level of skill and knowledge to maintain or reform the interdental papilla between teeth, between implants and teeth, and between adjacent implants. To date, there are no reports that have measured the distance from the contact point to the bony crest between implants. One reason for this may be the fact that, with two adjacent implants, the contact point of the crown can be established at any distance from the gingival margin according to the restorative dentist's specifications. Therefore, in this study, the height of the soft tissue to the crest of bone was measured between two adjacent implants independent of the location of the contact point. The purpose of this study was to determine the range and average height of tissue between two adjacent implants.
