Correction of Tooth Defects and Discolored Teeth Using Direct Composite Resin
Description:
For over 50 years dentists have been making instant esthetic transformations using direct composite resin. That technology has been enhanced by the latest nano composite materials. Although the past decade has seen greater use of ceramic materials in esthetic dentistry, direct bonding with these new composites is still a highly valuable procedure. This video will deal with correction of severe tooth discoloration using nano composites. Immediate composite resin bonding can act as either the ideal correction or as an extended trial smile so patients can live with their new smile as long as necessary.

thanks, Kevin...regarding use of pre-wax up matrices, I certainly do in cases where I will be making a dramatic change and would find it harder to do without the wax-up and siltek matrix.

Thanks, Eitan,
As far as materials, my basic procedure is to use a highly polishable microfill composite resin like Renamel or Durafill for anterior full veneer bonding. I vary from translucent to opaque shades to mask out very dark areas and even use the composite stains when patients want a more natural incisal translucent look

thank you for sharing this beautiful case and young lady. Your discussion with all the burs and polishers and matrices is very beneficial.. Do you ever use pre-wax up matrices to help develop your incisal edge position especially when you lengthen? thanks again

dear prof. goldstein
i keen admire your knowledge and work dedication, the passion to teach and mentor.
may you write the strasification used and brands,as newton fahl stated, there are several brands and shades which are chromatic or achchromatic.
in addition if its possible to eliminate the ambient noise while speaking on the microphone that would be great for future videos
with best regards

Multidisciplinary Esthetic Resolutions for Anterior Dentition: Integrating Science & Art
Not all patients can be treated the same; there are numerous methods and approaches we must consider before providing a service to our patients that include types of materials, surgery, minimally invasive restorative dentistry, prosthetics, etc. This lecture will take you through a decision tree of minimally invasive approaches to consider for multidisciplinary esthetic dentistry from a restorative and prosthetic point of view. Including a large emphasis on the science behind products and materials available in the market today.

The Cycle of Tooth Preservation Via Stress-Reduced Direct Composite Restorations
This lecture will provide clinicians with an overview of differing biomimetic protocols and techniques to predictably restore the anterior and posterior dentition using a minimally invasive approach.
Increasing interest has been developed on “Life-like” restorations also known as biomimetic restorations. These are either porcelain or resin based restoration that can be performed on the anterior and posterior areas of the mouth. They may adopt both an indirect and a direct technique. The common characteristic is that they are low stressed and highly bonded restorations able to reproduce the functional and optical characteristic of the natural dentition.

3 C's of Composite: Contour, Color and Creativity
Mastering composite artistry is the most challenging tooth replacement procedure clinicians are asked to preform. It requires the clinician to understand the optical, physical, handling and mechanical properties of a resin filled with quartz, silica and glass. Combining these attributes to reproduce the natural dentition three dimensionally in contour and color is our goal. Adding a bit of imagination, the clinician can create restorations that are brilliant and ultimately seamless and undetectable.

Smile Transformations Through Composite Restorations
In today’s esthetic conscious society, to obtain ideal results, the dentist must have a thorough understanding of the patient’s desires, economic concerns, and esthetic expectations.
The objective of this course is to help the practitioner successfully select and combine different treatment modalities and materials to achieve outstanding esthetic and functional results without committing the patient to the high biologic and financial cost of indirect porcelain restorations. Multiple clinical cases will be used to demonstrate the versatility of today’s composite materials and their advantages over porcelain restorations in both anterior and posterior situations.
