Pure Dental Esthetics – From Titanium to Zirconia
The replacement of a single tooth with dental implants, especially when the patient has a high smile line, has been an esthetic challenge in implant dentistry. Typically, it requires very careful stages to create the final restoration as natural as possible. When there is loss of soft tissues, carefully made dental-gingival prosthesis becomes an alternative of therapy. For all cases with high smile line, achieving perfection in color and texture of the restoration it's not an easy task. Currently there are some ways to achieve better aesthetic results, including digital scanning of colors. This presentation describes step-by-step the application of a protocol developed in our clinic. Several cases will be discussed. In addition, recent technologies such as zirconium implants are also be discussed.

"Real World Cosmetic Dentistry", Design, Preparation, Completion, & Patient Impact
The clinician's role in cosmetic dentistry is to evaluate the patient dentally, facially & emotionally. The design of the smile creates the path and ideal communication between the doctor, patient and lab technician. It is this process that allows for precision in preparation of the teeth and staging the smile within the lip perimeter and face. Digital scanning and 3D software allows us to frame the smile and to communicate our design to the mouth. Minimally invasive procedures from tooth prep to gingivectomy to frame the tooth shapes and gingival margin to the lipline will be discussed. Provisionals allow us to test our design prior to lab processing the veneers and crowns for final insertion. This multimedia presentation will highlight these stages of design and preparation as well as the vitally important process of patient management and expectations. Surgical Management of Third Molars
Removal of third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth, continue to be prevalent in our society. Indications for removal vary from pericoronal infections to orthodontic treatment. Several factors such as age, position of the tooth and affected jaw can dictate the surgical technique. Proper diagnosis and management will be covered at length as well as impaction classification systems, value of imaging, instrumentation and surgical approaches. Post operative management and methods to recognize, avoid and treat potential complications will also be discussed.

CAD/CAM Anterior Esthetic Implant Restorations: The BellaTek Encode Healing Abutment and CAD-Block Ceramics
Digital design software programs for teeth and implant restorations have evolved over the past 5 years. Using CBCT scans and digital preoperative scans, the clinician can properly plan the placement of implant fixtures. Various software programs and intraoral scanners offer analysis of proper implant position, angle of implant placement, and depth of tissue and occlusal clearance. The utilization of coded healing abutments (BellaTek®, Encode®, Biomet 3i) may also add to the precision of design and calibration of all tissue contacting points of the emerging abutment. This article will introduce and describe a current model for fabrication of ideal abutments, and fabrication of CAD/ CAM restorations for the anterior esthetic zone.
