Развитие бело-розовой эстетики через восстановительную хирургию
Description:

Excessive Gingival Display Managed by Surgical Lip Reposition, Aesthetic Crown Lengthening and Veneers
Excessive gingival display can be managed by a variety of treatment modalities, depending on the etiology. Mild and moderate gummy smiles can be successfully treated by periodontal plastic surgery, however for excessive gingival display as in cases of VME II or III with 5 to 8 mm or more of gingival exposure this procedure is not enough. Many patients decline the more invasive Le Fort osteotomy and opt for a less invasive surgical lip repositioning procedure. Currently Botox is used as alternative, but this is only a temporary treatment with very short effectiveness. That is why we suggest surgical lip repositioning as an effective procedure to reduce gingival display by positioning the upper lip in a more coronal location. The long-term stability of the results remains to be seen, but it holds promise as an alternative treatment to more invasive procedures.

Surgical Concepts to Treat Esthetic Implant Disaster Cases - Part 2 of 2
The utilization of dental implants in the esthetic zone is a challenge for involved clinicians. With the increasing application of dental implants by non-experienced colleagues, the occurrence of esthetic failures with implant supported restorations is raising. This lecture will address the causes for such esthetic failures and the surgical approach for therapy. In most cases, implant removal is necessary, which must be done with a low-trauma technique to avoid additional bone loss. Today, this is done with special implant removal instruments using the Reverse Torque Technique. In addition, these failures are often characterized by a lack of keratinized mucosa.
The current strategies for the reestablishment of keratinized mucosa and for the augmentation of missing bone, mainly on the facial aspects are presented and documented with case reports. This includes aspects of timing, surgical techniques, and the selection of appropriate biomaterials.

The Diagnosis and Treatment of Inflammatory Peri-implant Disease: We Have a Problem
This detailed presentation will discuss the etiology, microbiology, histopathology and clinical manifestations of peri-implant disease, and will present evidence based in-office and at-home treatment regimens to stop mucositis from progressing to peri-implantitis. Additionally, "COAP", a new minimally invasive surgical technique for the treatment of peri-implantitis will be introduced.

The Future of Lasers in Periodontal Therapy: Science, Hype or Snake Oil
The results of recent research studies suggest that lasers provide a viable alternative to traditional periodontal surgery. Evidence is emerging that lasers provide an enhanced method for achieving this elusive goal, while eliminating many of the negative sequale associated with conventional pocket elimination surgery.

A Decade of the Socket-Shield Technique: A Step-by-Step Partial Extraction Therapy Protocol
Ten years have passed since Hürzeler and coworkers
first introduced the socket-shield technique. Much has
developed and evolved with regard to partial extraction
therapy, a collective concept of utilizing the
patient’s own tooth root to preserve the periodontium
and peri-implant tissue. The specifications, steps, instrumentation,
and procedures discussed in this article
are the result of extensive experience in refining the
socket-shield technique as we know it today. A repeatable,
predictable protocol is requisite to providing
tooth replacement in esthetic dentistry. Moreover, a
standardized protocol provides a better framework for
clinicians to report data relating to the technique with
procedural consistency. This article aims to illustrate a
reproducible, step-by-step protocol for the socket-
shield technique at immediate implant placement
and provisionalization for single-rooted teeth.
