Today aesthetics has become the main reason for dental consultation. The appearance and shape of soft tissues are an essential part of achieving smile balance and harmony. In recent years, the use of lasers has evolved significantly in periodontal plastic surgery, due to its applications, such as; the ability to offer treatments without sutures, minor tissue damage, minor bleeding and therefore promote faster tissue recovery. This time we used GEMINI Ultradent double wavelength diode laser, from 810nm to 980nm, super pulsed with a power of up to 20 watts; improving coagulation performance and providing a faster and more precise cut than other diode lasers.

Demystify The Gingival Restorative Interface in Oral Rehabilitation
Pink esthetic therapy often can encompass single and multiple tooth loss clinical scenarios. The "Robin Hood" Approach to Tissue Engineering
Autogenous tissue is still a gold standard for augmentation procedures. There are great sources of patient’s own tissue, often in adjacent areas, that can be utilized. The soft tissue can be moved, flipped, rolled, pediculated - in order to take from the rich sites and give to the poor ones. A novel approach for the wound closure after ridge augmentation and/or implant placement in lateral maxilla will be presented.

Using this philosophical approach seems to provide esthetic and stable results over time irrespective of the initial clinical condition.

Innovative Sequencing for Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Treatment
Smile enhancement therapy has become an important facet of the everyday aesthetic practice. Aesthetic evaluation utilizing facial aesthetic design to diagnose tooth position demands effective communication between the periodontal-restorative team. This presentation will review innovative sequencing techniques for interdisciplinary cases which require aesthetic crown lengthening for the treatment of excessive gingival display, and for gingival augmentation for root coverage, and the correction of poor gingival quality. Immediate implant placement with immediate non–loaded provisional fabrication will also be reviewed.

Modern Implant Dentistry: Rules of Engagement in the Esthetic Zone - Part 2 of 2
This presentation will focus on the interdisciplinary relationship of the restorative dentist, periodontist and orthodontist to reconstruct the soft tissue foundation for all of these restorative options in anterior tooth replacement. The diagnosis of deficiencies as well as the varied treatment options will be discussed in detail. This includes periodontal crown lengthening, esthetic periodontal plastic soft tissue grafting procedures as well as prescription adjunctive orthodontic tooth movement to manipulate the soft tissue foundation prior to or subsequent with the restorative options of implants, bridges, or pontic replacement.

Recombinant Human Platelet– Derived Growth Factor: A Systematic Review of Clinical Findings in Oral Regenerative Procedures
The use of recombinant human plateletderived growth factor–BB (rhPDGF) has received Food and Drug Administration approval for the treatment of periodontal and orthopedic bone defects and dermal wound healing. Many studies have investigated its regenerative potential in a variety of other oral clinical indications. The aim of this systematic review was to assess the efficacy, safety, and clinical benefit of recombinant human plateletderived growth factor (rhPDGF) use for alveolar bone and/or soft tissue regeneration. Based on the clinical evidence, rhPDGF is safe and provides clinical benefits when used in combination with bone allografts, xenograft, or β-TCP for the treatment of intrabony and furcation periodontal defects and gingival recession or when used with allografts or xenograft for GBR and ARP.

Predictable Gingival Correction of Passive Eruption
While the need to maintain a dry operative field has traditionally caused complications during various soft tissue surgical procedures, the use of bipolar electrosurgical techniques can eliminate the need to maintain a dry field, thus increasing the clinician’s ability to deliver predictable, long-term results. Treating Two Adjacent Missing Teeth in the Esthetic Zone - Part 1: The Pink Hybrid Restoration & the Unilateral Versus Bilateral Defect Concept
This article, the first of a planned three-part series, outlines a new surgical & prosthetic approach for treating cases involving two missing adjacent teeth in the esthetic zone. These type of cases, particularly when combined with a three-dimensional ridge deficiency, represent one of esthetic dentistry's most challenging dilemmas. A Clear understanding of the unilateral and bilateral defect concept is necessary to properly evaluate each particular case, understand surgical limitations, perform a better risk assessment, establish an esthetic prognosis, develop the best clinical-laboratory strategy, and adjust patients' expectations. While not recommended for every case, represents a useful, economical, and predictable alternative that decreases the umber and complexity of interventions.
