Description:
Creating Implant Esthetics is not only about technical skill and product knowledge. It requires a thorough investigation into Bone Volume and Tissue Quality and how it relates to the future proposed restoration. Missing this on the diagnostic side will often lead to esthetic failure or compromised results regardless of the skill of the operators. This presentation will clearly describe the challenges faced with multiple tooth replacement in the Esthetic Zone and some of the recently reported strategies and key algorithms to overcome these difficult scenarios. Extraction Management, Orthodontic Extrusion, Bone Grafting, Pontic Enhancement, Root Submergence and Artificial Gingival Reconstruction will all be reviewed as potential strategies in managing the loss of multiple anterior teeth.

hygiene is essential so we develope the pontic areas absolutely flat or even tending to convex so floss will sweep the under intaglio surfaces clean - - we talk about this in some detail in the article and just how to acheive this and also take pictures of the patients doing it in the office before they leave so they retain some pictorial instruction of what they need to so

thanks. . .
if you don't have a useful root in between, and it's an extraction site , then simply do a simple ridge retention procedure as shown on Dental XP - - if there is no root and the ridge has collapsed then do an Ovate pontic procedure with connective tissue from behind the second molar
or even build it up with particulate bone and PRGR or a putty matrix graft. . whatever's easier and all are available in video on XP

Farhan; A submerged root is Optimal but not a requirement for pontic site esthetics. We still can have natural estheitcs in pontic area with soft tissue ridge augmentation.

Significance of Crown Shape in the Replacement of a Central Incisor with a Single Implant-Supported Crown
When utilizing a single implant-supported crown to replace a central incisor, understanding the final shape of the implant restoration is an important factor to help achieve a successful esthetic outcome. In today's dentistry, tooth shape is a critical factor when dental implant prosthesis are considered in the esthetic zone. The goal of this study was to objectively analyze the significance of natural crown shape when replacing a central incisor with a single implant-supported crown. Data analysis revealed that is there is a "black triangle", a diastema, or presence of dental or gingival asymmetry, an additional restoration on the adjacent central incisor is often required in order to fulfill esthetic goals. The additional restoration is highly recommended in situations with a triangular crown shape, while it is suggested in cases of square/tapered and square tooth shapes in the presence of a dental diastema.
