The Evolving Role of Soft Tissue Enhancement in Esthetic Reconstructive Dentistry - Part 3 of 3

Description:
Soft tissue grafting techniques, new regenerative materials and bioactivators will be highlighted. The expanding role of allograft materials (Perioderm), platelet rich in growth factors (PRGF, PRF), and when to utilize them will be suggested. The ability of these combined protocols to alter the soft tissue profile around natural teeth, implants, and dentulous ridges, will be reviewed as to its critical role in "Complete Esthetics".

Absolutely interesting. Where the Perioderm or aloderm is not available , what other choices ( option )can be used as alternative ? Secondly to what extend corona - apically you place the Perioderm ? Usually the coronal part of the buccal plate in very thin and as it gets to apical part it gets thicker. Thanks Farokh Khatiblou

Dr. Salama great video. Thank you. Could you give me your thoughts on PRF. Are you using it and are you happy with results. Thank you.

Dr. Tran; Thank you. Facial Profile changes can be significant in these type cases. Bone reduction and Implant Placement angulation are critical. The overjet was reduced significantly as was the overbite relationship. This can alter amount of gingival display, facial height and profile. thank you Dr. Salama

Dr. Salama, fantastic case and very complicated. The result is beautiful. Even with this much of bone reduction the final nasolabial angle is only increase a small amount which is not too noticeable. How is the patient final overjet compare to preop? Thank for sharing your awsome work! Binh Tran dds

Predictability of Root Coverage Procedures: Clinical Scenarios & Evidence-Based Treatment Options
Root coverage (RC) procedures have long been used for the treatment of gingival recession (GR). During daily practice, clinicians are required to deal with diverse clinical scenarios and to provide the most adequate treatment options for each particular condition based on the best evidence available, the clinician’s skills, and the patients’ desires.

From Extraction to Prosthetic Restoration: Considerations for the Esthetic Zone
This webinar will highlight surgical and restorative techniques to accomplish predictable outcomes in the esthetic zone with implant therapy. Treatment modalities will be demonstrated with high quality photography and case series discussion. Surgical modalities presented will include ridge preservation, the current evidence on the use of growth factors such as PRP and hr-PDGF bb. Also timing of implant placement as well as soft and hard tissue augmentation will be discussed. Special emphasis will be placed on immediate provisionalization of implants to accomplish optimal peri-implant mucosa architecture. Techniques to transfer provisional emergence profile to the final restoration will be presented.

Soft Tissue Augmentation: What Are The Limits?
Soft tissue grafting techniques provide the dentist with an armamentarium that makes possible to prevent and solve many problems and complications around teeth and implants, making more predictable the treatments results. But, what are the limits ? Sometimes it is not so easy to take the right decision between bone or soft tissue grafting techniques We present many different techniques illustrated with clinical cases in order to explain our point of view.

Fibrin Assisted Soft Tissue Promotion (FASTP) - A New Perspective in Periodontal Plastic Surgery
Soft tissue recession around teeth and implants is an epidemic problem in the field of dentistry. A predictable and long-term soft tissue augmentation outcome is primarily dependent on proper diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. Harvesting limitations of autogenous tissue from the palate represent a true challenge when treating patients with multiple recessions or gingival deformities around teeth and dental implants. The Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (APRF) and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (iPRF) are promising tissue promoters that can be a suitable alternative option.

Clinicians often encounter an insufficient amount of keratinized soft tissue in the proposed implant site. When this occurs, the question arises: Should the necessary softtissue manipulation be performed before, during, or after placement of the implant? There are three answers or scenarios for this question, according to Lee Silverstein, DDS, associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
