Zygomatic Implants: 20 Years of Evolution
This presentation will review 20 years of non-alveolar based implant dentistry specific to the resorbed maxilla.
The role of the Zygoma and Pterygoid plates to anchor specialized implants to secure a prosthesis will be reviewed.
Patient selection, anatomy, surgical aspects and prosthetics will be reviewed.

Bone Grafting & Implant Dentistry; Classification, Surgical Site Understanding & Membrane Selection Part 2 of 3
Once a tooth is extracted, the natural wound-healing cascade paired with irreversible alteration occurs. Hard tissue grafting techniques combined with the sound understanding of the surgical site theater will help the practitioner to make the proper decision in order to successfully treat their patient. The usage of biological modifiers and surgical barriers are proposed to assist in improving the predictability of the advance surgical care.

Optimizing Tissue Esthetics of Single Tooth Implants
With optimized planning, precise placement of the fixture, and the use of laser technology to reduce tissue trauma we can minimize the bone and tissue changes during the surgical phase. During the restorative phase creation of proper tissue contours using the CO2 laser and control of tooth form to position tissue set the stage for obtaining optimal esthetic results.

Fibrin-Guided Bone Regeneration: Guidelines of a Simple, Predictable, & Low Risk Technique
This lecture is focused on an effective regenerative approach, but at low knowledge. The goal is to provide a new skill in favor of well-established techniques. The Fibrin Sealant (FS) is an additional clot of human origin. It has adhesive, sealant and inductive action stimulating hard and soft-tissue regeneration. The FS, mixed with bone chips and biomaterials, allows a better handling of the graft that, becoming plastic and moldable, adapts perfectly to bony defects without dispersion of granules. It’s effective also on wound protection achieving a faster healing of soft-tissue. This approach is excellent in the socket preservation and in the peri-implant regeneration on "closed" sites where the implants are inside the defects.

Clinical and Esthetic Outcomes of the Surgical Veneer Grafting Protocol in the Anterior Maxilla
A multicenter cohort clinical investigation evaluated the change in horizontal ridge dimension associated with immediate placement and provisionalization in anterior extraction sockets. Following the surgical veneer grafting (SVG) protocol, a combination of a bone and connective tissue graft (CTG) was performed in 37 patients to compensate for the natural hard and soft tissue remodeling to achieve a sustainable and predictable esthetic outcome in patients with a thing gingival phenotype. The patients were followed for an average of 39 months (range of 10 to 58 months). At the four-year recall, 61% of the fixtures were evaluated. All 37 implants were successfully integrated, demonstrating stable and healthy peri-implant soft tissues as documented by standard clinical parameters. The results showed an average volume gain of 0.68 mm in the tissue zone, compared to the initial situation.

A New Implant Design for Crestal Bone Preservation: Initial Observations and Case Report
Following the exposure and restoration of two-piece dental implants, some change in the vertical level of the peri-implant crestal bone height has been reported. This change in crestal bone height has not, however, negatively impacted long-term implant success. This article describes how the concept of platform switching is incorporated into a new implant design as a means of reducing or eliminating the occurrence of crestal bone loss. Preliminary observations from clinicians utilizing this new implant design are herein presented.
