Hi Nigel, nice presentation; you showed an upper syncone on 4 implants that looks great. Has this worked well in your hands as I know dentsply normally reccommend 6 as part of their protocol. Did you use a metal substructure/framework in this case and is the prosthesis finished in composite or acrylic or both? Manks thanks.

I agree 100%, ankylos implants have very predictable esthtic results, no crestal bone loss and consequently great soft tissue seal.
I like the fact that u place the implant subcrestally.

Predictable Implant Aesthetics Utilizing A Custom Fabricated Provisional Abutment & Impression Coping
Mastering the art of predictable implant aesthetics can be challenging. One of the most stressful areas for most dentists is the process of creating a beautiful provisional that will guide tissue and predictably communicate the aesthetic outcome for the final restoration in the aesthetic zone. Combining the use of a custom fabricated provisional abutment, provisional restoration and a custom fabricated impression coping many of the aesthetics challenges can be addressed. This information can then be communicated to the laboratory to ensure the most predictable aesthetic outcome possible. This program is designed to simplify and streamline the entire process of implant provisionalization and impression. This program will provide a systematic, step by step approach to tissue management, provisionalization and impression of implant cases.

Transitioning of Teeth to Implants: Risk Assessment for Successful Outcome Premium Member Content

Transitioning of Teeth to Implants: Risk Assessment for Successful Outcome
In the transitioning of teeth to implants, a number of critical risk factors have to be assessed. Dozens of decisions have to be made by clinicians based on consideration of factors, including: esthetic requirements, morphology of extraction socket, biotype of peri-implant soft tissues, implant macro design, implant length and diameter, implant surface texture, management of the horizontal gap between socket and implant, provisionalization and loading protocol. Some of these decisions are guided by scientific evidence, while many of the decisions are typically based on empirical guidelines set by individual opinions. This presentation will provide a rationale and outline a predictable protocol for replacement of teeth with implants.

Preprosthetic Extraoral Verification for Implant-Supported Restorations
It has been well established that osteointegration of a dental implant is one of the fundamental components for successful implant therapy. A vital portion of this process is ascertainment of the appropriate prosthetic tooth position from which the ideal dental implant position is dictated within the alveolar bone. Esthetic Rehabilitation of the Periodontally Compromised Dentition - A Novel Interdisciplinary Approach Using Orthodontic Extrusion and Dental Implants
Rehabilitation of esthetics in advanced periodontal cases presents a major challenge in dentistry today. Patients with advanced disease affecting teeth in the esthetic zone, where significant asymmetrical bone loss and tissue recession are present, constitute a challenging treatment-planning dilemma when choosing the optimum therapeutic option for long-term maintenance. This article reviews a novel interdisciplinary approach for vertical augmentation of bone and soft tissues by means of orthodontic extrusion of severely periodontally compromised teeth, facilitating the restoration of esthetics with improved bone and soft tissue volume around immediate implants.
