Internal Hydraulic Sinus Lift Procedure utilizing the Crestal Approach

Description:
In this video case report, “conservative” internal management of posterior maxilla is highlighted featuring new tools, techniques and biologics. Evaluation and Management of the deficient posterior region is handled by via CBCT Diagnostics and the CAS-KIT Crestal Approach Sinus Kit from Hiossen. Flap Reflection, Drilling sequence, Hydraulic Sinus Lifting of the Schniderian Membrane as well as the utilization of PRGF, Fibrin and Synthetic Bone Putty is highlighted in a conservative crestal approach. This is followed by final suturing using a horizontal and running mattress method.

Gregory; Certainly a game changer and one of the best. Others include Versah lift and Piezo hydrodynamic approach HIPSE. I will review these at my course N Nov. 18th in Toronto with lecture and Hands-on. regards Dr. Salama

Gregory Stephens - (9/29/2022 10:54 PM)

is the hiossen crestal sinus approach the best crestal sinus approach availabe?

ENRIQUE TREVINO - (8/1/2020 3:00 PM)

another great presentation, as always, thank You

James Vu - (9/18/2018 2:35 PM)

Beautiful work. Probably the cleanest way of doing this lift I have ever seen being done. The PRGF membranes are so easy to work with vs conventional resorbable membranes. Awesome, thank you for this.

2cc water for 10mm lift. Typically only 0.5gm bone for crestal lift of 3-5mm and 2.0-4.0gms for lateral approach. Dr. Salama

Neda Nasr - (11/8/2016 4:01 AM)

thank you dr salama the video was wonder ful.could i ask how much bone graft material is need for every milimeter membran elevation? and how much watter is need for every milimeter elevation.?

Stephanie Maletter - (10/22/2015 8:41 AM)

Can you please tell me what type of handpiece is used with the Neobiotech SLA kit. It has to be a surgical handpiece (1:2.7) but it also has to be latch type. Please advise

Dimitris Chatziemmanouil - (11/1/2014 3:41 PM)

Thank you dr Salama for the quick response.

Maurice Salama - (11/1/2014 12:43 PM)

Dimitris; Thank you. Yes, if you see the video, I mention how the fluid comes back out of the crestal access. That is another way but with Valsalva I place a mirror over the access and if it becomes "fogged" then there is air escaping. Hope this clarifies things. Dr. Salama

Thinking Outside the Box in Sinus Augmentation- From Conventional to Minimal Invasive Approach
The lecture will focus on the concept of "thinking outside the box" in sinus augmentation, showing unconventional minimal invasive surgical manipulations which allows the clinician to reach the ultimate goal- bringing the patient the function and esthetics with his teeth even in cases with minimal crestal bone height, using autologous growth factors and minimal invasive anthral membrane balloon elevation.

Alternative Applications of Guided Surgery: Precise Outlining of the Lateral Window in Antral Sinus Bone Grafting
Computed tomography (CT) and the application of CT-based guided implant surgery allow clinicians to provide enhanced precision and accuracy in implant surgery. Because of the difficulty in transferring a patient’s often complex anatomic sinus configurations, as viewed on a preoperative CT scan, into precise osteotomy cuts at antral bone graft surgery, a prototype cutting guide was developed. The surgical guide was developed through the use of CT imaging and the stereolithographic process to precisely position the lateral window, facilitating schneiderian membrane elevation. This report demonstrates the step-by-step method to perform precise guided sinus window preparation using computer software and a stereolithographically generated surgical guide.
