In the course, are discussed all the parameters to achieve the correct diagnosis of the socket and the various treatment plan correlated to each anatomical type of socket. Connective Tissue and PRGF in Treatment of Periodontal Intrabony Defects

Esthetic Tissue Reconstruction Around Implants - Part 2 of 2
Esthetics in implant-supported restorations is an important clinical objective in contemporary dentistry. Understanding the biological behavior of hard and soft tissues following tooth extraction is the first step to anticipate the physiological tissue remodeling and its consequences. Our objective in these 2 sequencial lectures was to provide straightforward decision trees related to several clinical scenarios observed in routine clinical practice. The 3 fundamental pillars for peri-implant excellence are: restorative-driven implant position, hard and soft tissue reconstruction using different biomaterials and grafts, and prosthetic management. Using this philosophical approach seems to provide esthetic and stable results over time irrespective of the initial clinical condition.

Bone Augmentation & Vascular Enhancement Concepts: It’s Time to Make it Simple!
The purpose of this presentation is to make the participant think biology first and not mechanic first. A biological thinking will dramatically simplify vertical and/or horizontal bone augmentation procedures. We will also be introducing a new approach for the simplification of soft tissue handling: the Soft Brushing Technique, that will allow the coronal advancement of both buccal and lingual flaps, but also the palatal flap without the need for periosteal releasing incisions.

Revisiting the Papilla in 2015 - Part 1 of 2
This program will clarify the 6 categories of papilla, and just how to predictably re-develop each type utilizing surgery, pink composite, orthodontics and/or porcelain. It will also demonstrate how to use The Classification Dimension chart to predictably optimize esthetic incomes with innovative treatment planning.Including pontics on at least 1 side of a papilla greatly enhance potential outcomes, simplify treatment choices and decrease treatment time. Preemptive planning is the key to rapid, successful esthetics.

Managing Esthetic Implant Complications
Dental implant success today is judged not only by osseointegration but also by bone, tissue stability and of course long term esthetic results. Cosmetic predictability can often be difficult to attain, and esthetic implant failures can be multifactorial and patient management issues. Once esthetic implant failures occur, many cannot be fully corrected. Some complications must be addressed by an interdisciplinary dental team. In this summary of case reports, surgical considerations are provided, including cases of facial asymmetry/recession due to facial implant placement or bone loss resulting from technique/treatment failures, as well as papillary deficiencies. Restorative considerations for correcting failures are also discussed.

Lip Repositioning for Reduction of Excessive Gingival Display: A Clinical Report
This case report demonstrates the successful management of excessive gingival display with a lip-repositioning procedure.

Oral Soft Tissue Laser Ablative and Coagulative Efficiencies Spectra
The key to the success of soft tissue lasers is their ability to cut and coagulate the soft tissue at the same time. Present work is aimed to derive the wavelength-dependent differences in photo-thermal ablation and coagulation efficiencies for oral soft tissue pulsed dental Near-IR Diode, Mid-IR Erbium and IR CO2 lasers. Even though the soft tissue photothermal ablation has been extensively studied, there remains a discrepancy between (a) the widely proliferated notion about efficient Near-IR 800-1,100 nm laser ablation of the oral soft tissue, and (b) studies reporting the inefficient soft tissue Near-IR absorption/ablation. Indeed, the notions about “the key to the usefulness of the Nd:YAG is that this wavelength is highly absorbed in oral soft tissue”, and “all currently available dental laser instruments and their emission wavelengths have indications for use for incising, excising... oral soft tissue surgery”, contradict an observation illustrated here...
