just watched the video and can tell you this has been an extremely valuable adjunct to practice and allows clinicians the ability to make some tooth movements previously thought to be too time consuming .complex and unpredictable - - just great information that we need to be aware of and share with our referral specialist and vise versa

Hi Milton, in fact some of the screws do not osseointegrate but provide "some" additional anchorage strictly through mechanical resistance or what we call primary stabilty. Many screws do integrate and provide absolute anchorage , however, and they do so for the same reasons that immediately loaded implants osseointegrate. Their interafce with the bone is not overwhelmed with excessive micromovement. If the initial orthodontic forces are light and unidirectional, NOT ROCKING TYPE, the implants will have a chance to osseointegrate and develop secondary stability.

why do the implant screws hold if they have immediate loading?

Interdisciplinary Team Dentistry for Total Dentofacial Esthetics - Part 2
Orthodontics sets up the foundation for future prosthetics in cases with periodontal, surgical and restorative dentistry requirements. Adult orthodontics simplifies complex clinical situations. Making it easier for restorative dentist to achieve better esthetic & functional results. Orthognatic surgery combined with orthodontics corrects skeletal discrepancies in order to have the patient ready for prosthodontic replacement of multiple missing teeth. Cases combined with implants to restore form & function will further illustrate the importance of multidisciplinary dentistry. Today´s practice requires a team approach that will be presented. In order to meet the patient´s demands for better esthetics and to obtain long term occlusal stability of our results.

Working With Spaces and Decisions on the Congenitally Missing Lateral Incisor - Part 1 of 2
A congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor is quite common today on a Orthodontic practice. Through the years, the alternatives of restoring the missing lateral incisor have increased in such a level that today we can offer a patient the option of opening the space for a tooth supported restoration, or for an implant supported restoration. We could also offer closing the space and have a tooth substitution type of solution to this problem. The lecture will go in detail on the aspects we should consider while making the decision on what treatment option to follow.

Integrating Orthodontics with Orthognatic Surgery; From Virtual Planning to Clinical Excellence
Dentofacial deformities in adults require the combination and skills of the orthodontist and maxillofacial surgeon. In order to achieve all the functional and esthetic goals. In digital dentistry’s days virtual planning of orthodontics and orthognatic surgical corrections has become a valuable tool. Results can be compared to planning both for reevaluation and sharing information with colleagues and our patients. Virtual planning account for more reliable and precise results in our orthognatic surgery. Orthodontic preparation is the gold standard for maximizing the surgical correction. Cases will illustrate our treatment protocol from A to Z for these complex and challenging situations.

Adjunctive Orchestrated Orthodontic Therapy
The altruistic goal of any cosmetic dental rehabilitation is the re-establishment of a healthy maintainable aesthetic functional interface from an otherwise damaged dentition. To this end, a multi-disciplinary treatment plan is necessary to fulfill the periodontal, orthodontic, maxillofacial and cosmetic requirements for a healthy, stable dentition that has a favorable long-term prognosis. This comprehensive treatment approach strives for the constituent components of the dentition to have a proper…

Orthodontic Microsurgery: A New Surgically Guided Technique for Dental Movement
Eight patients with malocclusions were treated with a new orthodontic-surgical technique that reduces the duration of treatment compared to conventional techniques. The monocortical tooth dislocation and ligament distraction (MTDLD) technique combines two different dental movements that work separately but simultaneously on opposite root surfaces. On the root surface corresponding to the direction of movement, vertical and horizontal microsurgical corticotomies are performed around each tooth root…

Are Contemporary Occlusion Concepts Valid In An Asymmetric World?
This study is focused on the statistical analysis of orthodontic symmetry based on pre-treatment evaluation of 121 randomly selected orthodontic patients using Anatomage 3D cephalometric
Analysis of full volume (FFOV) CBCT images. Cephalometric measurements, linear and angular, were obtained from anthropologically recognized anatomical bilateral paired
landmarks. Hub 3D diagnostic services performed 3D cephalometric analysis using for the study.
