Regeneración de Papilas en Pacientes con Sonrisa Gingival

Description:

Modern Crown Lengthening: Classification and Clinical Application
Crown lengthening procedures are indicated to provide adequate tooth structure in case of subgingival tooth fracture or caries, uneven gingival level, un-esthetic short crowns due to the tooth wear, inadequate axial height, altered passive eruption ,forced eruption of a single or multiple teeth and finally in case of gingival smile. The treatment modality for esthetic crown lengthening procedure should be based on detail diagnosis in each case because of the multifactorial etiology and because of the type of therapy selected by the clinician, will have a direct implication for the esthetic result.

Combination Approach to Site Development: Autologous Tissue
The ideal grafting material should be biocompatible, biodegradable, easy handling, cost-effective, minimize inflammation and foreign body reaction, not transmit diseases and assure a long-term restoration and preservation of the alveolar ridge. Is there any better scenario to prove the grafting material properties than the worst scenario in esthetic implant dentistry: central-lateral, site by site? In this lecture, the combination approach to the site preservation and development utilizing exclusively autologous tissues is explained, based on the available literature and presenter´s experience and shown on numerous central-lateral cases.

Emerging Perspectives in Soft Tissue Augmentation: Evolving Tools, Techniques & Materials
Soft tissue root coverage microsurgery and pontic site enhancement are frequently utilized periodontal plastic surgery techniques to create an ideal restorative frame for teeth, pontics and implants. Tunnel, Semilunar, VISTA etc. are among the new age techniques highlighted in this growing area of periodontal microsurgery. New autologous tissue harvest techniques, Allograft ACDM and Bioactive Modifiers have all changed the way we are capable of managing soft tissue deficiencies and have assisted the clinician in improving the healing qualities of these minimally invasive techniques. This lecture will cover site preparation techniques for conventional dentistry as well as prior to and after implant placement.

Esthetic Tissue Reconstruction Around Implants - Part 2 of 2 Premium Member Content

Esthetic Tissue Reconstruction Around Implants - Part 2 of 2
Esthetics in implant-supported restorations is an important clinical objective in contemporary dentistry. Understanding the biological behavior of hard and soft tissues following tooth extraction is the first step to anticipate the physiological tissue remodeling and its consequences. Our objective in these 2 sequential lectures was to provide straightforward decision trees related to several clinical scenarios observed in routine clinical practice. The 3 fundamental pillars for peri-implant excellence are: restorative-driven implant position, hard and soft tissue reconstruction using different biomaterials and grafts, and prosthetic management. Using this philosophical approach seems to provide esthetic and stable results over time irrespective of the initial clinical condition.

A Review of Clinical Applications for Soft Tissue Allografts & Autografts: Solutions for Teeth, Implants, and Dentures Premium Member Content

A Review of Clinical Applications for Soft Tissue Allografts & Autografts: Solutions for Teeth, Implants, and Dentures
The presentation focuses on the clinical applications for acellular dermal graft (ADG) materials. ADGs have been commonly presented and discussed to provide solutions for treating gingival recession. Compared to autogenous grafts, they have the advantage of minimizing pain, discomfort, and surgery time for patients by avoiding an intraoral donor site such as the palate. In addition to treating gingival recession, ADGs also have uses in bone grafting surgeries such as socket grafting and ridge augmentations (GBR) when they are utilized as a barrier membrane. Finally, ADGs can be combined with bone grafting materials to aid in the augmentation of edentulous ridges to aid denture support. While this last application is less common, it's use is worthy of discussion.

Developing Optimal Peri-Implant Papillae within the Esthetic Zone: Guided Soft Tissue Augmentation
Osseointegrated dental implants have enjoyed long-term success in the rehabilitation of totally edentulous patients. Every aspect of traditional treatment planning protocols continues to be re-evaluated and updated to better incorporate the benefits of osseointegration into clinical practice. This is particularly evident as dentistry has committed to fully integrating this approach into the more varied and demanding environment of the partially edentulous patient. Along with the many benefits of added predictability and enhanced options, the ever-evolving role of osseointegrated implants in the treatment pf the partially edentulous jaw has also created new challenged. Unlike the fully edentulous individual who maintains the implant-restorative interface beyond the lip perimeter, many partially edentulous patients undergo the transition within the esthetic zone.

Surgical Veneer Grafting - Compensation for Natural Labial Plate Remodeling After Immediate Implant Placement

Surgical Veneer Grafting - Compensation for Natural Labial Plate Remodeling After Immediate Implant Placement
Contemporary implant therapy aims to provide highly esthetic and predictable treatment outcomes while decreasing treatment duration and complexity. The clinician must therefore be cognizant of circumstances with a predisposition toward esthetic outcomes and treatment plan accordingly. Preservation of the surrounding hard and soft tissues associated with an immediate postextraction socket implant to replace a nonrestorable tooth in the esthetic zone is one of the greatest challenges facing the dental team. A case report of a hopeless maxillary left central incisor in a patient with a thin periodontal phenotype illustrates this new surgical and prosthetic approach. Clinical, radiological, and esthetic parameters were recorded to evaluate primary treatment outcomes.
