The Prettau Zirconia Implant Bridge: Rationalization & Multiple Case Examples

Description:
In this presentation Dr Tischler will review the rationalization of the Prettau Zirconia Implant Bridge from Zirkonzahn and demonstrate it's success with multiple case examples. In 2012 Dr Tischler's practice and Tischler Dental Laboratory was prolific in providing the Prettau Implant Bridge for patients and clients of the lab. Through case examples he will show the parameters of success with this ideal implant prosthetic product. Both surgical and prosthetic steps will be shown.

Beautiful work. How does one get access for cleansing and what is used to keep things clean? Thanks

Michael Tischler - (2/20/2014 3:05 PM)

Thanks Maurice,

We always use a non hexed titanium interface that is bonded to the Prettau with Ivoclar's implant bonding material.

Maurice Salama - (2/20/2014 12:30 PM)

Michael; Great job. Do you have a metal interface with the zirconium or go directly into the implant? thanks Maurice

Michael Tischler - (2/20/2014 9:51 AM)

Thanks for the comments. As far as MU Abutments. We don't use them for the distal angulation. They are used when the anterior implants are too far facial usually. The distal angles are dealt with by using a non engaging impression coping and a non hexed interface.

Michael, thank you for putting together a very informative webinar on present day full arch reconstruction prosthetics and sharing it with the Dental XP community. I fully agree with you that acrylic is in the past and Zirconium is the present. Well done and I hope to make it to your seminar soon.

Marcus Hines - (2/19/2014 9:41 PM)

Dr. Tischler sounds like you're able to bypass the MU abutments most often but when you use them for your angled distal implants are you mostly using 30 degree MU abuts (or 15 degree)? Nice presentation.

Michael Tischler - (2/19/2014 5:50 PM)

As far as puttys I use Regenform or Dynablast in my practice

Michael Tischler - (2/19/2014 5:49 PM)

Kevin I don't do bar overdentures or hybrid bridges anymore. I have only used DFDBA Puttys for the past 15 years. They are hemostatic, don't migrate and are osteoinductive.

John Heimke - (2/19/2014 2:21 PM)

Nice Michael! I agree excellent medium for Full Arch Implant restoration.

In addition to surgical intervention is the creation of the specific emergence profile that is essential in the aesthetic zone. The emergence profile composed of 2 parts, the abutment and the subgingival part of the crown. The shape of abutment can be individually shaped so that it gives natural appearance and varies individually (depending on the depth, angulation and diameter of the implant). Sometimes it even dictates the implant position. From a surgical perspective, soft tissue height, position and thickness need to be diagnosed and corrected when needed. From the prosthetic point of view, the emergence profile has to be created to mimic the natural appearance and maintained over time in respect to the biological changes. The course teaches step by step how to be successful with implant prosthetics from single tooth, partially edentulous to full arch reconstruction.

Complete Management of the Implant Site: From Simple Cases to Complex Situations
The health and the structure of the peri-implant tissue is vital for a long term prognosis of aesthetic and functional dental treatments. The prevalence of peri-implant diseases and recessions is a problem that must be overcome by a perfect treatment planning, along with a step-by-step design of the future restorations. When the clinician places an implant, he must consider the 3D positioning regarding the hard and soft tissue. When one decide to restore an implant, he must be aware of the gingival volume and it’s position. In this presentation, we want to show fully documented cases, from bone grafting, soft tissue enhancement, to final restorations.

A Treatment For The Prevention of Maxillary Edentulism: All On Four For The Maxilla
Since the advent of osseointegration, the patient who is edentulous or soon to be edentulated has many options to prevent wearing complete removable prosthesis. In the maxillary arch there are anatomical features that may preclude patients successfully utilizing an implant prosthesis. Some of these include alveolar resorptive changes after extractions, pnuematized sinuses, hard and soft tissue palatal vault configurations, and bone exostosis with associated undercuts. Psychological, many patients suffer after the loss of teeth with loss of self-esteem and avoidance behaviors. This program will focus specifically on the diagnostic, surgical, and prosthetic procedures of the All On Four patient. In this webinar, Dr. Duello will build upon the material provided in previous presentations on DentalXP with detailed guidance on clinical procedures for the All On Four in the maxilla.

Workshop Guidelines on Immediate Loading in Implant Dentistry

Workshop Guidelines on Immediate Loading in Implant Dentistry
Predictable formation of a direct bone-to implant interface is a treatment goal in implant dentistry. The 2-stage surgical protocol established by Branemark et al to accomplish osseointegration consisted of several prerequisites, including (1) countersinking the implant below the crestal bone, (2) obtaining and maintaining a soft-tissue covering over the implant for 3 to 6 months, and (3) maintaining a minimally loaded implant environment for 3 to 6 months. The primary reasons cited for the submerged,…

Vertical Distance from the Crest of Bone to the Height of the Interproximal Papilla Between Adjacent Implants

Vertical Distance from the Crest of Bone to the Height of the Interproximal Papilla Between Adjacent Implants
As patient demand increases for more natural restorations in the esthetic zone, clinicians must have the highest level of skill and knowledge to maintain or reform the interdental papilla between teeth, between implants and teeth, and between adjacent implants. To date, there are no reports that have measured the distance from the contact point to the bony crest between implants. One reason for this may be the fact that, with two adjacent implants, the contact point of the crown can be established at any distance from the gingival margin according to the restorative dentist's specifications. Therefore, in this study, the height of the soft tissue to the crest of bone was measured between two adjacent implants independent of the location of the contact point. The purpose of this study was to determine the range and average height of tissue between two adjacent implants.
