I picked up this technique after hearing Dr Anitua at Pikos and Salama synergy seminar about 8 years ago. It changed my bone grafting forever.
I have shared it in Knoxville, Tn. Well received by patients and doctors.

Hi Dr Anitua and Salama,
Thank you both for being such great teachers.
I love Vitorias hospitality.
do you place the factor 1 fibrin on top of alloderm? would it help or would it be too much thickness?
?do you soak the alloderm on factor 3 first after saline soaking ?

Integrating Orthodontics with Orthognatic Surgery; From Virtual Planning to Clinical Excellence
Dentofacial deformities in adults require the combination and skills of the orthodontist and maxillofacial surgeon. In order to achieve all the functional and esthetic goals. In digital dentistry’s days virtual planning of orthodontics and orthognatic surgical corrections has become a valuable tool. Results can be compared to planning both for reevaluation and sharing information with colleagues and our patients. Virtual planning account for more reliable and precise results in our orthognatic surgery. Orthodontic preparation is the gold standard for maximizing the surgical correction. Cases will illustrate our treatment protocol from A to Z for these complex and challenging situations.

Procedural Anatomy for the Implant Surgeon; The Maxilla
Every single implant surgeon requires the knowledge of the oral environment they are working within.
This multimedia presentation will focus upon procedural anatomy of the maxilla.
Critical anatomical landmarks will be highlighted. Blood vessels, nerves, glands and bone aspects of maxillary surgery will be discussed.
Special attention will be focused on risk avoidance and complication-emergency management.
Premaxilla, posterior maxilla, palate, nasal floor, sinus, zygomatic and pterygoid anatomy will be incorporated.

The Holy Grail of True Regeneration - Fibronectin
Periodontal Diseases have been associated with an increase in bacterial plaque and calculus. Recent evidence, however, suggests bacteria (biofilm) is a trigger, but the host inflammatory response is responsible for osseous structural loss.

Is There One or More Reasons to Optimize the PRF & PRP Protocols? Future Trends in Dentistry, Orthopedics and Facial Aesthetics
The “Advanced” PRF (A-PRF) and “Injectable” PRF (I-PRF) protocols were designed with this new concept. Indications are numerous in all medical fields where we need regeneration: bone, cartilage, skin etc...
However, the use of growth factors is not a guarantee of long term stability, as they are active only at the beginning of the process. Numerous rules of tissue engineering have to be applied to maintain the regenerated bone through an adequate blood supply: this lecture is an enlightenment on the biological and mechanical conditions for long term stability of the bone: “grafted bone” or “bone around implants”.

Elements and Utilization of Suturing Needles
The primary components of every suturing needle include the attachment end, body, and point. Traditional complications caused by threading have been eliminated by the advent of needles that are permanently attached to the suturing material. The suturing procedure is further simplified by the attached and press-fitted end of the needle (swaged) that enables the clinician to draw it through the tissue with less trauma.

A Technique for Surgical Mandibular Exostosis Removal
Exostosis, a slow-growing, benign bony outgrowth, is a common clinical finding and not usually an issue with patients. However, when removable prosthetics must sit either adjacent to or over these areas, pressure, food abrasion, ulceration, or limited tongue space can occur. This article describes a surgical technique for exdsion of exostosis through the presentation of a case. An 86-year-old woman had soft-tissue irritation caused by abrasion from food in the buccal posterior right quadrant. The…
