Reverse Engineering and Optical Scan Technology in Implant Dentistry
In this clinical video, tooth replacement of maxillary canine is performed utilizing CBCT technology for pre-assessment of the osseous ridge form followed by incisionless transmucosal implant placement with a Ritter Implant. This allows us to Optically Scan with a 3 Shape unit the stable Soft tissue form, occlusion and implant position using a scan body on the Ritter Spiral Implant System prior to any surgical incision is initiated. This information is sent off to the lab for final abutment milling and provisionalization at 3 days. Surgical entry and bone regeneration utilizing PRGF is performed last to allow for tissue shaping with the provisional restoration.

Esthetic Zone Combination Cases Utilizing Partial Extraction Therapy
Buccal cortical plate collapse of the postextraction ridge especially in the anterior dentition is a challenging situation in restorative and implant dentistry. Implant surgeons should try to preserve or in case of delayed approach to reconstruct those surrounding tissues in order to have longterm success. A variety of ridge preservation techniques have been described in the literature, but besides immediate implant placement there is a special approach that uses the root itself to maintain the cortical plate. It’s Partial Extraction Therapy, an umbrella name, collecting Socket Shield, Pontic Shield and Root Submerge technique together. The biology behind PET is the maintainance of periodontal ligaments attached to the intentionally left root (fragment) which provide blood supply of the cortical plate from inside the socket.

The aims of this study were to evaluate the clinical outcomes and patients’ satisfaction with immediately loaded full-arch fixed prostheses supported solely by axial or by a combination of axial and tilted implants in both jaws and to compare the outcome of tilted versus axial fixtures in the same patients up to 5 years. The null hypothesis was that no difference in survival rate and marginal bone level change would exist between axial and tilted implants and no difference in prosthetic survival between rehabilitation's supported only by axial implants or by a combination of axial and tilted implants.
