Surgical Veneer Grafting: Utilization in Immediate Implant Placement
Description:
The management of the digital implant prosthetic dentistry, especially in the anterior esthetic area, is one of the hottest topics in Dentistry. The diagnostic phase is critical. In the course, are discussed all the parameters to achieve the correct diagnosis of the socket and the various treatment plan correlated to each anatomical type of socket. The Dual Zone approach (bone zone and tissue zone) will be evaluated and discussed in detail, regarding each of their variables.
In the surgical part, it will be described the criteria necessary for successfully utilizing minimally invasive protocols within the esthetic zone and the possibility of placing or not placing a bone graft in the “gap” and the opportunity to use a connective tissue graft to overbuild the site bucco-lingually, performing the Surgical Veneer Grafting Protocol, idea'ed by the Agnini brothers.
To achieve “Esthetic Perfection”, every minimal detail should be considered, starting from the temporary on the day of the surgery: Drs Agnini will describe various clinical options and techniques, comparing the traditional and digital possibilities for efficiently and esthetically fabricating a temporary restoration immediately after implant placement in the replacement of a single tooth.
In the digital prosthetic part, the authors will analyze different cases, highlighting the operational differences that they have developed over time, with the increasing knowledge of new materials and daily advances in new software's.

Thank you Andrea and Alesandro for such amazing informative presentation ....No doubt that Veneer grafting is the first line modality in immediate implantation where SS cannot be applied ...I love this approach and i am getting superb results with it.

Thank you Drs for the insightful and inspiring lecture.
Question, was the 2nd last case (replacement of 11 12 with implant at 11 and SVG) still considered type 1 socket? According to the PA it looked as if the teeth were missing a lot of bone.
What is your choice of tx option for type 2 sockets? Thanks in advance.

SVG is a MUST when PET is not possible and there is thin tissue for Dual Zone!! No doubts. Great job my friends....regards Mo

Esthetics Around Implants; Introducing the "Snake" Technique !
The “Snake technique” is a new concept in minimally invasive surgery.
It is based on old fundamental principles that offer reliable and predictable results. The “Snake technique” is a pediculated gingival graft, which unlike free grafts (CTG, FGG) offers several advantages and a lower surgical stress for our patients by having no need for an additional surgical site. As the small details make the biggest differences, the “Snake technique” may add value to both the surgical course of therapies selected as well as the relationship with our patients who demand minimally invasive treatments.

Managing Esthetic Implant Complications
Dental implant success today is judged not only by osseointegration but also by bone, tissue stability and of course long term esthetic results. Cosmetic predictability can often be difficult to attain, and esthetic implant failures can be multifactorial and patient management issues. Once esthetic implant failures occur, many cannot be fully corrected. Some complications must be addressed by an interdisciplinary dental team. In this summary of case reports, surgical considerations are provided, including cases of facial asymmetry/recession due to facial implant placement or bone loss resulting from technique/treatment failures, as well as papillary deficiencies. Restorative considerations for correcting failures are also discussed.

Surgical Concepts to Treat Esthetic Implant Disaster Cases - Part 1 of 2
The utilization of dental implants in the esthetic zone is a challenge for involved clinicians. With the increasing application of dental implants by non-experienced colleagues, the occurrence of esthetic failures with implant supported restorations is raising. This lecture will address the causes for such esthetic failures and the surgical approach for therapy. In most cases, implant removal is necessary, which must be done with a low-trauma technique to avoid additional bone loss. Today, this is done with special implant removal instruments using the Reverse Torque Technique. In addition, these failures are often characterized by a lack of keratinized mucosa.
The current strategies for the reestablishment of keratinized mucosa and for the augmentation of missing bone, mainly on the facial aspects are presented and documented with case reports. This includes aspects of timing, surgical techniques, and the selection of appropriate biomaterials.

Managing the Extraction Site - Optimal Preservation and Enhancement Techniques
There is rarely a day that clinicians do not have to deal with an extraction site. If implant therapy is a consideration, then bone and soft tissue quantity and quality must be factored into treatment options. The ideal opportunity for bone preservation exists at the time of tooth extraction. All too often this opportunity is lost. Extraction techniques will be demonstrated that not only preserve but augment the amount of alveolar bone. The importance of piezosurgery, atraumatic surgical technique, the use of bone grafts, resorbable membranes and growth factors will be elucidated along with soft tissue enhancement.

Advanced Immediate Implant Placement Strategies Including the Socket Shield (SS) Technique and its Complications
Immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone has become a controversial topic with regards to the long term aesthetic demands that both the profession and our patients have placed on this treatment modality. Since the controversy broke a few years ago there have been a number of outstanding developments that have revolutionized the way we do immediate implant placement. Soft tissue augmentations using the tunnel technique as well as the socket whiled technique are 2 of these techniques which form the baseline of treatment in our clinic. This lecture will go through all the updated protocols of immediate implant placement supported by the literature as well as deal specifically with the finer details of the socket whiled technique including step by step photos and video of the technique. More importantly it will cover numerous complications that we have had to deal with over the last few years that we have been doing this technique.

Does residual cement around implant-supported restorations cause peri-implant disease? A retrospective case analysis
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between patients with a history of periodontitis and development of cement-related peri-implant disease. Seventy-seven patients with 129 implants for this retrospective analysis were selected from completed implant cases that were scheduled for regular maintenance or had experienced mechanical or biological complications between years 2006 and 2011 in private practice. Implants with extracoronal residual cement and implants without cement remnants were analyzed.

Restoration of Optimal Esthetics in Complex Clinical Situations
Patients often neglect or delay dental care for an extended time because of their negative experiences with and fear of dental treatments. This neglect may result in the advance of periodontitis with severe bone loss, a substantial number of missing teeth, and problems with the remaining teeth. Pre-existing malocculsion can aggravate this condition. This case report demonstrates an interdisciplinary strategic approach, in combination with the use of biologically grounded, clinically proven, and viable techniques and technologies to restore optimal esthetics and function in such complex cases.
