Dr. Mills has lectured extensively throughout the United States and abroad on diagnostic, surgical, and restorative prosthetic techniques. He is the co-director of the Medical College of Georgia's AAID Maxi-Course which is considered one of the most comprehensive continuing education programs in the world. Dr. Mills Lectures in Japan

Dr. Mills and his wife, Michelle, were the honored guests during a trip to Japan for the Dental Implant Society meeting. Dr. Mills has been invited to lecture the last two years to many of Japan's premier implant dentists. During his last tour, he was the featured clinical lecturer at several meetings, where he presented several papers on advanced implant restoration. Dr. Mills also presented a lecture to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kyoto University, where he spoke about grafting bone into the sinus so it could be used to support dental implants.

During their visits to Japan, Dr. Mills and Michelle have developed close relationships with many Japanese dentists and their families. They were often invited into their host's homes for special celebrations. Day tours were also arranged for them to tour the beautiful temples, shrines, and historical sites of many of Japan's beautiful cities. "It was interesting to see the Japanese people at work and at play. Their intense search for excellence through constant, everyday improvement was evident. Their passionate vitality was clearly evident in their recreational activities as well," said Mills.

These trips to Japan allow Dr. Mills the opportunity to share his experiences and expertise with the Japanese dentists, as well as to be exposed to a gracious and successful culture. The everyday interaction with the Japanese doctors in their offices and in the hospital results in a constant interchange of ideas about how to better care for patients.

Once each year, a delegation of Japanese dentists tours the top restorative dental practices in the United States. This year they visited Harvard University's Department of Oral Implantology. On April 29, 1994, the dentists elected to visit the Atlanta Center for Restorative Dentistry
