George A. Mandelaris, DDS, MS |
Dr. Mandelaris attended the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry, and later completed a three-year post-graduate residency program in Periodontology at the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. He also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in oral biology from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. Dr. Mandelaris is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is also an examiner for Part II (oral examination) of the American Board of Periodontology certification process.
Dr. Mandelaris has severed as a peer-reviewer to the Journal of Periodontology, the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, Clinical Advances in Periodontics, and Compendium for Continuing Education in Dentistry. He has contributed several chapters in textbooks used worldwide on subjects related to computer guided implantology and CT diagnostics. He serves as an opinion leader for Carestream Dental, Biomet 3i, Materialise Dental, Organogenesis, and Geistlich Pharmaceuticals. He is the past President of the Illinois Society of Periodontists, Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry as well as on several committees for the American Academy of Periodontology.
He is in private practice with Dr. Alan Rosenfeld at Periodontal Medicine & Surgical Specialists, LTD in Park Ridge and Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. He limits his practice to Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery.
