Dr. Maha M. El-Sayed received her dental degrees from the Faculty
of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt (BDS) and from
the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania
(DMD). Dr. El-Sayed pursued her passion and completed a Specialty
Program in Prosthodontics at the School of Dentistry, Virginia
Commonwealth University which culminated with her receiving
her Certificate in Prosthodontics. She also completed a dental
research project while at residency, earning her a Master
of Science Degree in Dentistry (MS).
While at Penn, Dr. El-Sayed received The Pass International
Dentist Award and became a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Honor Dental Society. She is also a member of the American
Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Asociation, the Northern
District Dental Society, the American College of Prosthodontics
and the Egyptian Dental Union. She holds active licenses in
Georgia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Dr. El-Sayed grew up in Alexandria, Egypt and speaks four
languages, including Arabic, German, English and French. She
is married to Loai F. El-Gazairly, PhD, PE, and they have
two daughters, Noor and Hana.
