Kurt A. Doolin, DDS received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Public Health from Michigan State University in 1979. He earned his dental degree from the University of Detroit in 1983 and completed a one year post-graduate residency at the University of California at San Francisco in 1984 with emphasis on oral medicine, oral surgery and anesthesia. Dr. Doolin completed training programs in oral implantology at both the Misch Implant Institute and the Pikos Implant Institute. He studied esthetic dentistry, TMJ/TMD diagnosis and treatment at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and currently practices in Rochester, MI. Dr. Doolin continues his learning with emphasis on surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting and complex restorative cases. He is currently the Director of Continuing Education and course director for the Full Mouth Rehabilitation course at the Center for Exceptional Practices in Richland, Ohio. He and his wife Marcia raised their three daughters and continue to reside in Oakland County.
John Lavicka is the second generation owner and president of Dental Ceramics Inc, since 1988. In 2006, John founded The Center for Exceptional Practices; an ADA CERP and AGD PACE certified facility designed to enable restorative dentists to achieve higher levels of success in clinical practice through lecture & hands-on programs. He has devoted over 30 years to developing a dental laboratory that focuses on exceptional services combining art, science, and technology with personal attention and care. John is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is an alumni, a visiting faculty member, and on the Board of The Pankey Institute. John is also the founder of the Akron/Cleveland based Pankey Learning Group. He is a member of numerous study clubs; the Spear Study Clubs, Seattle Study Clubs, Northeast Ohio ITI Study Clubs, Cleveland Comprehensive Care Study Club, and the Akron Dental Society.
