I agree that it may be a little too early to make a definitive judgement. However, my guess is that ceramic implants will mostly have a boutique type of role in implant dentistry. The reason is that with Zr abutments implant dentistry already has a very esthetic option in restoring anterior implants with thin tissue. It seems to me that with titanium implants and Zr abutments we get the best of both worlds. The one application that I can envision a benefit is one-piece ceramic implants where the gap is eliminated and there may be a soft tissue benefit.

Still under the scanner....According to me... To start with i feel more preferable to use in the anterior zone...
lesser masticatory forces as fracture resistance is less... less prone to gingival irritation so can achieve a good gingival archietecture and enhance implant aesthetics...

I the case video presentation posterior implants and that to cantilever was demanding too much of ceramic implants...

experts please give ur suggestions on this issue???

Current Concepts for the Preservation of the Post-Extraction Alveolar Ridge
Different techniques have been presented in literature in order to preserve the post-extraction site; including the use of barrier membranes, tri-dimensional matrix and bone fillers. An “open-healing” approach is nowadays commonly used, combining a proper management of soft tissues with biological integration of biomaterials. Once hard tissue has been successfully augmented, an adequate soft tissue thickness becomes mandatory in order to create healthy and stable peri-implant tissues. An innovative volume-stable collagen matrix provides the opportunity to treat soft tissue defects around implants as an alternative to connective tissue graft.
