Awesome videos, what brand of dual cure acrylic is that?

Dr. Luth, Thanks for the kind words. Smart Implants at www.smartimplants.com is the lab to call for more information. They have n-sequence in Reno do most of their work however.

Dr. McFatter, When possible (depending on bone) I try to keep the implants in the area of the canine and bicuspids and keep the front as streamline as possible. However, this is rarely the case and I need to use the bone up front which does leave it thick for the tongue. I have had some trouble with patients speech, but not much; they usually get over it. This must be addressed in the final restoration as it can be fabricated much thinner than the temp. The tissue under the bridge at one and two year checks is red, but healthy. It looks similar to the tissue under a fixed bridge. Because the tissue tends to grow up against this appliance, the patients can't floss under them and there is no gap for air. I give them a water pic and have them do their best. Thanks for the question.

The Implant Supra-Crestal Complex: Building the Foundation for Long-Term Stable Results in Implant Therapy - Part 1 of 2
Emerging evidence points towards significant interrelations between the condition of the peri-implant tissue and the implant-abutment-prosthesis complex. A new paradigm is essential, where the peri-implant tissues will be analysed in close interrelation with the implant, abutment and prosthesis complex, under the presence of oral biofilm. The aim of this course is to make the participant familiar with the concept of the “Implant Supra-crestal Complex” (ISC) and describe the critical elements that define it as a unique anatomic, and functional system of human tissues, mechanical components and oral bacteria / biofilm.

CT Scan Technology

CT Scan Technology
Implant dentistry, one of the most predictable treatment alternatives offered to patients who are missing teeth can be enhanced by thorough pre-surgical diagnosis and treatment planning efforts by all members of the implant team. Conventional radiologic techniques including periapical and panoramic radiographs are limited by the two dimensional interpretation of existing hard and soft tissue. The inherent distortion factor can misrepresent bone topography in critical areas associated with vital anatomy or potential implant sites. Advances in diagnostic radiological techniques improved with the introduction of CT scan technology for dental applications. The enhanced diagnostic range of this evolving technology empowers the clinician with necessary tools to avoid potential complications associated with implant dentistry.

Prosthetic Management of Implants with Different Osseous Levels
The osseointegrated implant has become a standard treatment with a high degree of predictability for patients missing one or more teeth. It is especially recommended when the patient has a clear medical history and normal bone levels in both width and height in the edentulous areas. In constant search for improvement, clinicians find themselves looking into every element relating to the replacement of a missing tooth or teeth: existing bone structure, surgical technique, implant placement, implant…
