Innovative New Technique for Minimally Invasive Crestal Sinus Lift Approach

Description:
This webinar will describe the protocol for a trans-crestal sinus lift by using an innovative product called the Magnetic Mallet. This technique allows the clinician to perform a sinus lift and same time osseodensification with immediate implant placement, in an atraumatic and conservative fashion. Dr Baldi will describe the benefits he has seen in his daily practice as well as the additional opportunities in treating "everyday cases" with this magnetic dynamic technology.

Thank you, most informative and educational session

Marwa Gaafar - (2/11/2021 4:59 AM)

Thanks for the presentation But please if there is a handout for it because the data was another and the voice wasn't vary clear

ricardo auer - (5/21/2020 2:42 PM)

Very good

Domenico Baldi - (9/24/2019 1:37 PM)

Dear Maurice, sorry for the late reply but thanks for your question. For every procedure there is a power setting specified in every surgical protocol.

Maurice Salama - (7/23/2019 6:43 PM)

Wow, very interesting technology. How do you develop power settings for different orocedures. Thanks Dr. Salama

Digital Dynamic & Static Solutions
Partial Extraction Therapy and crestal sinus augmentation have changed the methods of implant planning and execution. Preserving both hard and soft tissue has propelled these concepts to innovative. Until recently the use of dynamic and static guidance has been delayed. The objective of this presentation is to understand the need for digital guidance and explores avenues to accomplish a digitally based workflow and execution fr the subsequent procedures.

The Magnetic Mallet and It’s Use in Daily Practice - Clinical Perspective
This innovative machine called the Magnetic Mallet is a device based on a EU/US patent of invention in oral surgery. It uses magnetism to generate a very impressive acceleration of the osteotomes that maximizes the forces applied to the bone (making the procedure fast and efficient) and in the meantime minimizes the inertia and discomfort for the patient. Such speed doesn’t cause any bone heating therefore irrigation water is also not needed!

Controlling Systematic Perioperative Anaerobic Contamination During Sinus-Lift Procedures by Using Metronidazole: An Innovative Approach
Analysis of tomodensitometric controls following sinus grafts clearly demonstrates a quite systematic lack of homogeneity. Sinus contamination by anaerobic bacteria seems almost unavoidable during bone graft surgery, and this problem may jeopardize the healing process. The aim of this study was to characterize in a systematic way the nonhomogeneities observed at 1,2,or 3 months post surgery within allogenous sinus grafts, and to assess the possible influence of a 0.5% sterile solution of metronidazole in corporated in the sinus bonegraft.

Maxillary Sinus Membrane Repair: Update on Technique for Large and Complete Perforations
Maxillary sinus membrane perforation is the most common complication that occurs with sinus elevation augmentation surgery. A technique using a slow resorbing type I collagen membrane for repair of large and complete sinus membrane perforations is described. The biocompatibility and semirigid structural integrity of this membrane, along with external tack fixation, allows for optimal membrane stabilization and maintenance. (Implant Dent 2008;17:24–31)
