NEW PRGF-Endoret Protocol (Platelet Rich in Growth Factors)

Description:
PRGF®-Endoret Technology is based on the activation of the patient's own platelets for the stimulation and acceleration of tissue healing and regeneration. It is a technology that allows the use of the organism's own resources with extraordinary results in many pathologies, effectively regenerating tissues without side effects and notably reducing the recovery period of fractures, muscular and tendinous injuries, and surgical interventions. Dr. Maurice Salama’s assistant, Charlene Bennett, will elaborate in detail describing the step-by step PRGF preparation and how it can be utilized clinically.

She stated in her video that you can use remaining fraction 2 and put it into a syringe for the dr to soak into area as needed. She said or he can use the remaining to soak a membrane. In that case, Does the fraction 2 need to be mixed with the calcium chloride?

henry salama - (6/1/2015 8:24 PM)

Amr, for that kind of technical specifics, best contact the company directly: http://bti-biotechnologyinstitute.com/dental/regeneration/

Some details where left out, what is the G force of spinning (or rpm) and what is the temp of the oven.
thanks nice presentation Charlene

Very interesting. Where would one go to purchase the equipment?

Orlando Alvarez - (7/23/2014 10:34 PM)

Congrats, nice presentation and beautiful instruments

This is an incredibly well done tutorial on Blood born PRGF and the new protocol. Shows all the possibilities, PRGF-PLUG, PRGF-bone graft complex, PRGF-Fibrin, PRGF-PRESSED Fibrin. Thanks to my Surgical Nurse and Assistant, Charlene Bennett. She has experience with PRP, PRF, PRGF, GEM-21, Emdogain and BMP-2 in her 21 years working with me in Atlanta. Dr. Salama

Kenneth; As this is the new protocol directly from Dr. Eduardo Anitua, the inventor of PRGF, can you please elaborate for us what you mean and how you come to this conclusion? thanks Dr. Salama

Kenneth Comer - (7/17/2014 11:21 AM)

The minute you add that calcium chloride you lose all of the bmp2

Regenerative Dental and Facial Rejuvenation: The Essential Role of Growth Factors
The potential of plasma rich in growth factors is well-documented in different medical fields to improve tissue regeneration and to minimize pain, inflammation and morbidity resulted from a surgical intervention. In this presentation we will discuss the potential of this endogenous therapy in the treatment of post-extraction socket and in the field of facial rejuvenation of the peri-oral region.

Complex Case Rehabilitation in Light of New Technologies
This case report describes a step-by-step full-arch restoration, upper and lower, rehabilitated utilizing new technologies in dentistry. CAD/CAM technology has changed not only the technician’s working process, but also the clinician’s, offering new benefits to the clinical workflow, as for example the possibility of using zirconia and its characteristics as a restorative material. The clinician’s and technician’s professional backgrounds and relationship are critical to achieving better esthetic and functional results, while prosthetic success depends upon an in-depth knowledge of the materials and their properties and on carefully performed clinical procedures, which are still of outmost importance to obtain satisfactory results.

"All on X" Therapies & The Digital Evolution
Full arch management has its challenges in itself not only from a surgical point of view but also under a prosthetic stand point. Diagnosis and treatment plan properly these cases play a pivotal role for the final successful outcome. In fact, CBCT software analysis together with all the prosthetic evaluation in needed prior to the surgical day will be highlighted, bringing then the focus of the presentation specifically on the diagnostic, surgical, and prosthetic procedures that can improve the predictability of the overall procedure. Which implant geometries are to be used? Which is the rationale behind the choice of placing straight or tilted implants? How many implants are needed and where? Abutment selection? Space requirements? Material selection? Bone quality issues and how to best incorporate new digital software and planning tools.

Digital Dynamic & Static Solutions in Partial Extraction Therapy
Partial Extraction Therapy has changed the methods of implant planning and execution. Preserving both hard and soft tissue has propelled these concepts to innovative. Until recently the use of dynamic and static guidance has been delayed. The objective of this presentation is to understand the need for digital guidance and explores avenues to accomplish a digitally based workflow and execution fr the subsequent procedures.

Is There One or More Reasons to Optimize the PRF & PRP Protocols? Future Trends in Dentistry, Orthopedics and Facial Aesthetics
The “Advanced” PRF (A-PRF) and “Injectable” PRF (I-PRF) protocols were designed with this new concept. Indications are numerous in all medical fields where we need regeneration: bone, cartilage, skin etc... However, the use of growth factors is not a guarantee of long term stability, as they are active only at the beginning of the process. Numerous rules of tissue engineering have to be applied to maintain the regenerated bone through an adequate blood supply: this lecture is an enlightenment on the biological and mechanical conditions for long term stability of the bone: “grafted bone” or “bone around implants”.

Expanding on Transverse Diagnosis and Maxillary Expansion
Transverse dimension diagnosis and treatment is the base for sagital and vertical corrections. Most precise diagnosis on maxillary transverse deficiency is obtained through the CBCT. Miniscrew assisted rapid maxillary expansion (Marpe) or Surgical assisted maxillary expansion are the procedures of choice in skeletal mature patients presenting maxillary transverse deficiencies. Protocols with most common type of expander will be ilustrated through clinical cases. Long term periodontal health and airways are addressed as part of this lecture.

Piezosurgery on Impacted Teeth Premium Member Content

Piezosurgery on Impacted Teeth
In the latest years, Oral surgery has strongly suffered of the technological innovations introduced in this field. In particular, the use of ultrasound applied to surgery has changed some of the most frequent clinical procedures, such as the extraction of third parties molars included, thus spreading an innovative concept in all dentistry: piezoelectric surgery or piezosurgery. So taking care of about 10 years of simple and complex extractive surgery I had the need to elaborate a lecture in which they are described in a simple and linear way the surgical techniques for the avulsion of the dental elements included, to provide a repeatable and predictable approach and method in order to reduce their invasiveness and traumaticity procedures

The Socket-Shield Technique: First Histological, Clinical, and Volumetrical Observations after Separation of the Buccal Tooth Segment – A Pilot Study
The “socket-shield technique” has shown its potential in preserving buccal tissues. However, front teeth often have to be extracted due to vertical fractures in buccolingual direction. It has not yet been investigated if the socket-shield technique can only be used with intact roots or also works with a modified shield design referring to vertical fracture lines. The aim of this study was to assess histologically, clinically, and volumetrically the effect of separating the remaining buccal root segment in two pieces before immediate implant placement.
