Thanks, guys,
Just wanted to add that taking the time to see which alternative treatments will look the best with any kind of trial smile help so much. Otherwise there will be the patient that has a problem that looks so simple to correct because I have done it so many times before...BUT that will be the patient that can be the esthetic failure because I did not let the patient be a 'co-diagnostician' and help me make the best decision to solve his or her esthetic problem.

The Cycle of Tooth Preservation Via Stress-Reduced Direct Composite Restorations
This lecture will provide clinicians with an overview of differing biomimetic protocols and techniques to predictably restore the anterior and posterior dentition using a minimally invasive approach.
Increasing interest has been developed on “Life-like” restorations also known as biomimetic restorations. These are either porcelain or resin based restoration that can be performed on the anterior and posterior areas of the mouth. They may adopt both an indirect and a direct technique. The common characteristic is that they are low stressed and highly bonded restorations able to reproduce the functional and optical characteristic of the natural dentition.

The Key Role of the Provisional Restoration as a Blueprint in Esthetic Tx
Thru the direct Aesthetic Provisional Application technique, the provisional will serve as a preparation guide, aesthetic guide to both patient and lab as well as an occlusal guide. This gives the practitioner total control over the case, gives the patient a true visualization of what the permanent teeth will look like and gives the laboratory an accurate tooth position to be copied into final form. The d-APA is done with flowable compostite in the patient’s mouth thru a series of additions and reductions to the teeth to gain final position. Although challenging, the technique becomes very rewarding by placing artistry and control into the hands of the dentist.

Clinical Excellence in Operative Dentistry: Not Only A Question of Color & Fancy Trends
Nowadays the maintenance of “a nice smiling” represents the main desire of our patients and the request for tooth colored restorations is very high. Predictable and repeatable results can be achieved through materials and clinical practices that, on one hand, preserve the original structure of the compromised tooth and, on the other hand, involve a very low biologic price.
This lecture aims to point out the relevant guidelines in both direct and indirect techniques for esthetic restorations through the evaluation of techniques and materials in order to reach correct, standardized and long lasting evidence based clinical results.

The Centripetal Build-Up for Composite Resin Posterior Restorations
This paper introduces a new technique for creating Class II posterior composite restorations - the centripetal build-up. This technique replaces the lost tooth structure from the periphery towards the center of the cavity, thereby achieving better marginal adaptation to the gingival floor. Since overfilling is rare, rotary finishing is minimized. This method allows the creation of long-term aesthetic posterior composite restorations, while utilizing conventional auxiliary (ie, metal matrix bands…
