Orthodontic Management of Impacted Teeth
Description:
Over the last 25 years we have managed different clinical situations that include every tooth in the mouth that can be impacted on an orthodontic patient. We will focus the webinar both on mucogingival considerations as well as orthodontic biomechanics. Impacted teeth can be a challenge and can make a treatment last longer. We will show a logic approach to these situations. That produces good stability, periodontal health and relative short treatment time.

Jorge Ravelo; I agree, very timely presentation and so important for all disciplines to understand even if you do not do the surgery or the orthodontics. By the way, are you a member of Dentalxp? Dr. Salama

Thanks for the chance to contribute Eddie Salama. This webinar is based on a lecture we gave recently on Impacted teeth in four US orthodontic departments. As well as at a couple of lectures at Universities in South America. And two presentations at the Venezuelan Society of Orthodontics and an upcoming lecture at the Venezuelan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on the same topic. It is a summary of 25 years of work in this field of impactions. Presented in 50 plus cases. Best regards, Miguel

The Complete Esthetic Analysis: Macro-Mini-and Microesthetics
In restorative dentistry, esthetics is evaluated in terms of anterior tooth display and smile design. For orthodontists and oral surgeons, the focus is on the facial profile. Interdisciplinary treatment in dentistry has progressed enormously in the past two decades, with collaboration among dentists, orthodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons resulting in vastly superior results compared to those achieved working without collaboration. But our vision can, and should, still expand to broader appearance issues. With the assessment and treatment of other dimensions of the smile and facial esthetics, the target is the ultimate dentofacial esthetic outcome. This lecture will demonstrate the coordination of care between the disciplines of dentistry and facial plastic surgery, resulting in gratifying enhancement of our esthetic and functional results.

Interdisciplinary Team Dentistry for Total Dentofacial Esthetics - Part 1 of 2
Orthodontics sets up the foundation for future prosthetics in cases with periodontal, surgical and restorative dentistry requirements. Adult orthodontics simplifies complex clinical situations. Making it easier for restorative dentist to achieve better esthetic & functional results. Orthognatic surgery combined with orthodontics corrects skeletal discrepancies in order to have the patient ready for prosthodontic replacement of multiple missing teeth. Cases combined with implants to restore form & function will further illustrate the importance of multidisciplinary dentistry. Today´s practice requires a team approach that will be presented. In order to meet the patient´s demands for better esthetics and to obtain long term occlusal stability of our results.

Congenitally Missing Mandibular Second Premolars
Introduction: Congenital absence of mandibular second premolars affects many orthodontic patients. The orthodontist must make the proper decision at the appropriate time regarding management of the edentulous space. These spaces can be closed or left open. Implications: If the space will be left open for an eventual restoration, the keys during orthodontic treatment are to create the correct amount of space and to leave the alveolar ridge in an ideal condition for a future restoration.…

This study is focused on the statistical analysis of orthodontic symmetry based on pre-treatment evaluation of 121 randomly selected orthodontic patients using Anatomage 3D cephalometric
Analysis of full volume (FFOV) CBCT images. Cephalometric measurements, linear and angular, were obtained from anthropologically recognized anatomical bilateral paired
landmarks. Hub 3D diagnostic services performed 3D cephalometric analysis using for the study.

Management of Complex Orthodontic Problems
Today implants are commonly used to replace missing teeth in partially edentulous adult orthodontic patients. Because these patients are missing teeth, orthodontic mechanics may be complicated or often impossible because of insufficient anchorage. In these situations, it may be feasible to use the implant initially as an orthodontic anchor to facilitate complex tooth movement and secondarily as an abutment for a crown or fixed prosthesis. This article will discuss the ramifications and requirements…
